4-H Fall Programs & SPIN Clubs

The leaves are starting to change, and so is our calendar! We’ve put together an incredible lineup of fall programs and special interest (SPIN) clubs that are perfect for sparking new interests, building skills, and making new friends. Check out these exciting opportunities below and find the perfect fit for your child.

Action Required: Complete Your Free 4-H Enrollment

All participants are required to have an active 4-H membership before this event. Please follow the steps below to enroll.

  • Visit the Website: Go to v2.4honline.com.
  • Complete Enrollment: Create a profile and fill out the required forms, which include emergency contacts, a health form, and standard liability/photo waivers.
  • Select Your Club: When prompted, choose “Pitt Member at Large” from the club list.
  • Select Your Project: When prompted, choose “Camping” from the project list.

Membership is free and covers your child for all 4-H programs for the rest of the year.

Note: If your child was not five years old as of Jan. 1 2025, you will not be able to register in 4-H online. Please contact the 4-H Office for additional information. However, You can still purchase a ticket on Eventbrite!

Whether your child is a budding baker, a future leader, or a science enthusiast, we have something for them this season. These clubs offer a chance to dive deep into a topic they love with hands-on learning and a supportive community.

Fitness Fun: Get Active with 4-H! 🏃

This four-week program provides a focused introduction to lifelong health and wellness. Each session balances key nutrition principles with engaging fitness activities, including a trip to a local gym.

Sew Much Fun Sewing Club 🧵

  • 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Free

Discover the rewarding world of sewing. This club is perfect for anyone who wants to learn a valuable, lifelong skill. You’ll master the basics of hand and machine sewing while completing various hands-on projects. Only a few spaces are available for Fall 2025!

Holiday Bakers Club: Sweet Treats & Kitchen Skills 🍪

  • Ages 8-12
  • October 7 & 21, November 4 & 18, December 2 & 16

Get ready to get a little messy and a whole lot of deliciousness! This six-week program teaches kitchen safety, measuring ingredients, and the science of baking. We’ll work together to create and decorate festive treats like pumpkin spice donuts and gingerbread cookies.

The Great Pumpkin Experiment: Teacher Workday Day-Camp 🎃

  • Ages 5-8
  • November 26
  • 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • $15.00

This camp is a day of discovery for curious kids. We’ll use pumpkins for hands-on science experiments, creative art projects, and outdoor games. Your child will learn about pumpkin life cycles and kitchen chemistry while becoming a “Pumpkin Pro.”

 

Santa’s STEM-Tastic Workshop: Holiday Break Day-Camp 🎅

  • Ages 5-8

We’re trading traditional crafts for cool STEM projects! This workshop is all about invention and discovery, with fun and educational challenges that will get your child thinking like an engineer or scientist.

Teen Council Meetings 🚀

  • Free

Looking for a place to hang out, meet new people, and make a difference? The 4-H Teen Council is for you! We’ll work on hands-on projects, from community service to planning awesome events.

Heroes of the Night Trunk or Treat Event

5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.: Trunk or Treat

Join the Pitt County Sheriff’s office in partnership with Pitt County Cooperative Extension for a spooktacular Halloween! We’ll have a petting zoo, fun games, a hayride, a movie, and, of course, plenty of candy. No RSVP is necessary, but youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Teen Leadership & Volunteer Opportunities

Pitt County 4-H is always looking for enthusiastic youth volunteers to serve as volunteers for our fall programs and our Heroes of the Night Trunk or Treat Event! Being a Teen Leader can be a very rewarding experience, but it is also a great responsibility and commitment.This is a great way to grow your leadership skills while making a real impact in our community.

Refund Policy

What is your refund policy?

Tickets for our programs and events are non-refundable.

Why are tickets non-refundable?

When you enroll a child, we immediately begin allocating resources for their participation. Your fee covers committed costs such as staffing, insurance, food, and program supplies.

What happens if 4-H cancels the program?

If the Pitt County 4-H office cancels a program for any reason, you will receive a 100% refund.

What if I have an emergency and need to cancel?

We may consider exceptions for special circumstances on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Brigitte Perry at (252) 902-1709 or brperry@ncsu.edu to discuss your situation.
