What Is 4-H Shooting Sports?

The 4-H Shooting Sports Program is a youth development education program, which uses a prevention education model that strongly emphasizes positive youth-adult interaction and peer leadership. It uses skills and disciplines of safe shooting and conservation to assist young people and their leaders in attaining knowledge and developing essential life skills.

Here in Pitt County we currently have two 4-H Shootings Sports Clubs the Farmville 4-H Wildlife Shooting Team, who serves the western portion of the county and the Pitt County Shooting Sports team, located in the eastern part of the county.

To learn more about Shooting Sports feel free to check out the state website here:NC 4-H Shooting Sports . To get involved with a shooting sports club here in Pitt County please contact Lauren Dail, Pitt County Extension Agent 4-H Youth Development.
