AIRE (Application, Interview, Resume, and Essay) is the selection process used by North Carolina 4-H to choose youth delegates for national 4-H leadership experiences. Through this program, 4-H members may be selected to represent North Carolina at National Events!

Download Packet HereYouth who submit a complete application packet will be invited to participate in the state-level AIRE competitive program. Applicants should be active 4-H members who have demonstrated involvement and achievement in county, district, and state 4-H programs.
Learn moreApplicants will participate in a face-to-face mock interview at the county level. If selected for state, interviews will be during North Carolina 4-H Congress.The interview allows judges to learn more about the applicant’s experiences, leadership, and goals.
Learn moreApplicants must submit a resume highlighting their 4-H involvement, leadership experiences, community service, and accomplishments. The resume should provide an overview of the applicant’s skills, experiences, and personal development.
Learn moreApplicants must submit an original essay responding to the prompt provided in the application materials. The essay should reflect the applicant’s personal experiences, character, and growth through their involvement in 4-H.
