Community Meals Food Safety Training
The NC Division of Public Health and Safe Plates will host a Community Meal Events Training for individuals organizing large meal events, such as fundraisers, church meals, or volunteer meals after a disaster, on May 5th, 3pm to 5pm in Durham (DPH Offices, 65 Moore Dr, Durham, NC (Room 1115).
The in-person training also includes information on meal events during disaster relief and is specifically for community members preparing food. Each group in attendance will receive a resource manual, food safety stickers, magnets, and a free food thermometer.
