Don't just lead—inspire!

Step into your role as a 4-H club leader with confidence and purpose. This new Beyond Ready Virtual Leadership Series from the Northeast District 4-H team is your essential guide to building a thriving club, empowering young leaders, and creating experiences that will shape lives. It's time to move beyond the basics and become the kind of leader who makes a real difference.

Part 1: Your Role as a Club Leader

Date: September 23, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

This session, "Discover 4-H: Your Role as a Club Leader," is the perfect starting point for new leaders. We'll explore the fundamentals of a 4-H club and your pivotal role in it. You will learn how the 4-H model fosters youth growth through hands-on learning, leadership development, and creating a sense of belonging. The session is designed to give you a strong foundation and a clear understanding of how to make a difference from day one. It's an opportunity to ensure every young person feels valued and supported.

Part 2: Building a Community of Belonging

Date: October 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

"Bridges to Belonging: Helping Youth Thrive" focuses on the crucial role of belonging in a young person's success. In this interactive workshop, we'll delve into practical ways to help youth feel connected and supported within their clubs. Through hands-on activities, reflection, and discussion, you'll discover strategies for building meaningful relationships, fostering inclusion, and encouraging peer-to-peer connections. We'll also provide fun activities to help your club members connect and engage right at the beginning of each meeting.

Part 3: Guiding Youth Toward Success

Date: November 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

In "Beyond the Project: Telling their 4-H Story," we will cover how volunteers can support youth with 4-H presentations and project record books. These tools are not just paperwork; they are a means for youth to develop essential life skills like responsibility, goal-setting, and effective communication. We will explore strategies to guide members in setting meaningful goals, documenting their progress, and reflecting on their learning. You will leave with practical tools, sample questions, and coaching techniques to help youth grow, succeed, and confidently share their 4-H experiences.

Part 4: The Power of Youth Voices

Date: December 2, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The final session, "Through Their Eyes: A Great 4-H Experience," offers a unique perspective. We will hear directly from 4-H members as they share their most meaningful and impactful experiences. Through their authentic voices, you will gain a deeper understanding of what truly makes a 4-H experience great—whether it's building lifelong friendships, discovering new passions, developing leadership skills, or simply feeling like they belong. This session will reinforce the incredible impact you have as a leader.

This training is open to new and experienced 4-H Volunteers, residing in the Northeast District. If you are interested in learning more please reach out to your local 4-H Agent. RSVP for one class that sparks your interest or join us for all four. See you in September!
