Description: Collaborative event with Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, USDA-NRCS, Pitt County SWCD, and NC Cooperative Extension.
Speakers will present in the morning covering conservation topics including: High Tunnel Purchasing and Construction, Soil Health and Erosion on the Farm, Cover Crops for Conservation, New Crops to Diversify Production, NRCS SWCD and CFSA Programs and How to Apply.
Farm tour and hands-on conservation practices will be in the afternoon.

Pesticide credits will be split between the morning and afternoon, 2 hours of X, N, O, D credits available in each half day session. 3 hours of CCA credits are available (1.5 Soil and Water, 0.5 Crop Management, 1 Sustainability).
