In response to COVID-19, the North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program has updated its standard liability waivers.

Previously our program used one (1) general liability form for both youth and adults. To align with recommendations from both NC State University and N.C. A&T State University’s legal counsel we have split the form by audience type. We now have a general liability waiver for volunteers and a general liability waiver for youth members / participants. The following authorizations within each of the general liability waivers have also been updated:
  • North Carolina 4-H Photo & Media Release
  • North Carolina 4-H Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedure
  • North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Standards Of Behavior & Personal Boundaries for Working with Minors
NEW Requirement: Effective immediately, due to COVID-19, adult attendees at face-to-face 4-H programs / events (e.g., parents/guardians attending club meetings, etc.) are required to complete the NC 4-H Liability Waiver.
