Mission

Increase consumer and green industry (nurseries, garden centers, and landscapers) knowledge and adoption of proper plant selection, cultural practices, and pest management practices that will maximize plant performance, economic resources, and protect the environment.

Plant Trials

The Pitt County Center is working with the JC Raulston Arboretum (NC State University) and is a trial site for potential new plant releases from the arboretum. The first planting consisted of 14 Pittosporum taxa. They were planted in April 2004. Click here for a listing of these plants!
